    About Healing Minds Research Institute

    Healing Minds Research Institute conducts FDA-regulated clinical trials in psychiatry and neurology, including studies on depression, anxiety, ADHD, and memory disorders. Recruiting eligible participants is the single hardest part of clinical research, and the institute was relying on paid recruitment vendors with rising costs and inconsistent quality. They needed a direct-to-participant digital channel they could own and scale.

    The challenge

    Clinical trial sites typically have intimidating, jargon-heavy websites that scare off the very participants they need. Healing Minds had a basic page that listed studies but did nothing to explain what participation involved, how compensation worked, or whether participants were safe. There was no online prescreening, no SEO for participant-intent searches, and no lead capture beyond a single contact form.

    Our approach

    We treated the website as a participant-acquisition tool, not a brochure. Each active study got a dedicated landing page written in plain language: who qualifies, what participation looks like, time commitment, compensation, and frequently asked questions. We built a custom prescreening form for each study that filters obvious non-matches before staff time is spent. A separate online memory test funnel captured leads for ongoing memory and dementia research. Local SEO targeted condition-specific keywords combined with location and 'clinical trial' modifiers.

    The results

    Within six months, study enrollment grew 85% and the institute reduced spend on outside recruitment vendors by half. The memory test funnel alone generates 120 qualified leads per month at a fraction of paid recruitment cost. Organic traffic grew 160% as the condition-specific pages began ranking. Participant retention through study completion improved from 68% to 92% because expectations were clearly set before enrollment.

    Our website now does the work that used to take a recruitment agency and a full-time coordinator. We enroll faster, and participants arrive informed and committed.
